Modeling and Real-Time Simulation of a Doubly-Fed Induction Generator Driven by a Wind Turbine

-This paper presents the modeling and real-time simulation of a doubly-fed induction generator driven by a wind turbine in large power systems. The Matlab/Simulink/ SimPowerSystems software is used to develop the model for simulation of electromagnetic transients in power systems. The code generated by the Real-Time Workshop of Simulink is linked to the Hypersim digital real-time simulator. A case study example of real-time simulation of wind turbines in a generic seriescompensated power system is presented.
